Winehouse’s former musicians and a cross-generational lineup of singers brought her landmark second album back to the Roundhouse.

Jorja Smith and FLO joined the Amy Winehouse Band at London’s Roundhouse on October 21 for Back to Black’s 20th-anniversary celebration. The one-night concert paired the album’s songs with guest vocalists, returning the music to Camden ahead of the record’s October 27 anniversary.

Smith performed “Some Unholy War,” while FLO took on “He Can Only Hold Her.” The selections placed both acts alongside musicians connected to the original work, with the evening built around the album rather than a set of the guests’ own hits.

Original producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi helped lead the tribute with Winehouse’s longtime musical director Dale Davis. Paul O’Duffy, p*nut and Darcus Beese were also part of the celebration, which brought the singer’s former band together with a lineup selected for the occasion.

As Stereogum reports, Corinne Bailey Rae handled the title track, while other performances included Jessie Reyez on “Rehab” and Yebba on “Love Is a Losing Game.” Lianne La Havas, Baby Rose, Nia Smith, Sasha Keable, Skye Newman and Terri Walker also appeared.

The singers came together for “Valerie” toward the end of the show, expanding the celebration beyond the album’s core tracklist. The shared finale followed individual turns through the record, with the ensemble honoring both Winehouse’s songwriting and the recordings that shaped her international breakthrough.

The concert is also scheduled for BBC television coverage, with BBC Radio 2 set to air it during Jo Whiley’s October 26 show from 7 to 9 p.m. UK time. The anniversary continues with October 23 reissues from Republic/UMe, including unreleased demos, rare B-sides and a live recording from Amsterdam’s Paradiso.
