Chris Brown and Usher’s R&B Tour has lost four October shows, with the promoter citing health and well-being as Brown’s London sentencing approaches.
Chris Brown and Usher have canceled four October stops on their R&B Tour, affecting fans in Baltimore, Cincinnati, Columbia and Indianapolis. The shows were scheduled for October 17 at M&T Bank Stadium, October 24 at Paycor Stadium, October 29 at Williams-Brice Stadium and October 31 at Lucas Oil Stadium, respectively. The notices identify the changes as cancellations, with refunds being issued.
In a statement posted by Lucas Oil Stadium, the promoter said the decision was made “to prioritize the health and well-being of the touring party and crew.” The explanation pointed to the demands of an extended stadium run and said the adjustments would support the remaining performances. It did not cite Brown’s court case as the reason for the cancellations.
The Indianapolis venue says ticket holders will receive automatic refunds to their original payment method within 14–21 days, depending on their bank’s processing time. For tickets transferred through Ticketmaster, the refund will go to the original purchaser. A cancellation notice reported by WIS outlined the same refund window for the Columbia show, with processing tied to the organizer returning the funds.
All four affected cities had joined the itinerary as part of the tour’s August expansion with eight additional stadium dates. That announcement brought the co-headlining run to 59 scheduled shows and also added performances in East Rutherford, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Miami. Usher shared the expansion on Instagram at the time; the announcement below predates the latest cancellations.
Separately, Brown is scheduled to be sentenced at London’s Southwark Crown Court on October 26. According to The Associated Press, he pleaded guilty to affray on July 24 in connection with a February 2023 incident at London’s Tape nightclub. Prosecutors dropped the more serious charges as part of the plea agreement, and he was released on bail pending sentencing.
The R&B Tour began June 26 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver after the artists introduced their partnership with a joint promotional trailer in April. Live Nation initially announced a 33-date North American schedule before further shows were added. The original trailer, also shared through Usher’s X account, introduced the stadium pairing well before the October schedule changes.
Before opening night, Usher described the collaboration as a way to give R&B a larger live platform. “We come together in support of our fans of R&B,” he told The Associated Press in June. The tour’s expanded production has brought the singers’ catalogs together in a nearly three-hour show, with both artists sharing the spotlight throughout the night.
MetLife Stadium’s October 15 performance remains listed, and Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium has five shows scheduled for November 5, 6, 8, 10 and 11. The promoter’s statement addresses selected cancellations and says the remaining scheduled performances are intended to continue. Fans with tickets should check the notice attached to their specific event for refund information and any further changes.
