Kanye West dropped the video for his Jesus is King track “Follow God,” which features his dad, Ray West. Kanye’s track fittingly features the line, “I was screaming at my dad/He told me it ain’t Christlike.”
The clip, directed by Jake Schreier (Francis and the Lights), was shot against the snowy backdrop of Kanye’s sprawling $14 million ranch in Cody, Wyoming, and showcases the bond with his father, Ray West. Father and son don wintery attire while riding a snow plow across the frozen tundra, complete with donkeys and alpacas.
Kanye included a message at the end of the video, which read, “My dad came to visit me at one of our ranches in Cody, Wyoming. He talked about his love for fishing, and how he could come here in the summers. It took me 42 years to realize that my dad was my best friend. He asked me, ‘How many acres is this?’ I told him 4,000. He replied with these three words: ‘A black man?'”
“Follow God” debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is one of 11 tracks off Jesus Is King, which became Kanye’s ninth consecutive No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200, tying Eminem for the longest streak in the chart’s history.
