Travis Scott says his next album is on the way, signaling fresh work with longtime collaborators Mike Dean and Anthony Kilhoffer as anticipation builds for his post-Utopia era.
Travis Scott has given fans his clearest signal yet that a new album is on the way. The Houston superstar reshared a studio clip on Instagram featuring Mike Dean and Anthony Kilhoffer and added the message, “Album Otw,” tagging both producers in the post.
The clip itself looked back on Scott’s earlier creative history, showing him with Dean and Kilhoffer during a session connected to “Uptown,” the A$AP Ferg-assisted track from his 2013 mixtape Owl Pharaoh. Scott added, “You had to be there to understand,” before writing, “We will see them on the other side e,” and telling his collaborators he was headed back home.
Scott did not reveal an album title, tracklist or release date, and his post does not yet establish the exact production roles Dean and Kilhoffer will have across the finished project. Still, tagging both names alongside the album tease strongly points to renewed creative involvement from two figures with deep ties to his sound.
Dean has been a major collaborator across Scott’s catalog, contributing production, mixing and mastering work to releases including Astroworld and Utopia. Kilhoffer, a Grammy-winning engineer and producer whose history includes extensive work with Ye, also played an important role in Scott’s early career and has remained part of the broader creative circle around his music.
The tease lines up with what Scott said earlier this summer about his next solo record. In a July interview with Variety, he confirmed that he was “working on an album right now” and said he was pushing himself sonically to make something he had not made before. He also cited Parliament, Oasis, Van Halen, Don Toliver, Raphael Saadiq and Daft Punk among the music influencing him.
Scott also explained that years of stadium touring have shaped how he thinks about new material, with the goal of making records that can connect with listeners from the front row to the back of the venue. With Mike Dean and Anthony Kilhoffer now appearing directly in his latest album tease, the next chapter is beginning to take clearer shape even as its title and release window remain under wraps.
