His favorite “Life Lesson Quote” is to know your worth and never settle. HE used to always think things had to happen quickly or he would miss his opportunity, but now HE thinks with more of an abundance mind-set, understanding who you are and what you bring into this world. Your thoughts are very powerful and your thoughts create your reality. He has learned it’s better to take your time going the right path as opposed to rushing and going fast in the wrong direction. It’s not a matter of when; it’s a matter of how you’ll make it happen. If you put in the work and stay consistent you will get there at the right time. Trust God’s timing. Don’t skip steps, you can’t cheat the process.
There are also some things he wishes someone told him before he started his label.
The 1st thing He wished someone told him before starting his company was how many years it would be before HE ever saw a dime from his hard work. HE always thought HE would blow up tomorrow. HE would always tell his friends and family “this is the one”. HE eventually realized that wasn’t the case.
2nd thing would be to take his time this isn’t a race it’s a marathon. HE would always try to rush the process instead of investing more time into his craft HE just wanted to put out anything HE had recorded because HE was too attached with the end results instead of just allowing things to build naturally.
The 3rd thing would be to never compare yourself with others. Everyone had their own path and journey; you never know what someone had to go through to get to where they are.
4th is that consistency is key. Keep dropping more often and invest in yourself and network, your network is your net worth. HE would barely drop music till this day, Friday only has about 8 songs out which is very impressive being the traction he has built with only a handful of songs out as an independent artist.
5th would be that even if you see no progress it’s easy to get overwhelmed or frustrated but keep going no matter what and trust the process.
