We reached out to Dro Montana after finding her track “Ghost” on a major Spotify playlist we follow. We loved her energy and flow and decided to do an exclusive piece on this up and comer.
When we inquired if she had any new material coming out, she hit us with a private, unreleased link that had our whole office turning up. Her new song “Thinkin I” is really taking this artist’s sound and brand to the next level. First, the flow: That switch up. It’s different from any flow she’s performed yet, but still is smooth as butter.
The visual depicts her as a scientist, metaphorically in the lab cooking up, contrasted by performances inside a gritty apartment with beautiful supermodel named Lex Nicole – IG @iamlexnicole casted as the lead.
Dro said: “This is by far one of my favorite songs I’ve done. The flow switch up crazy and yet it’s still so me. I love changing tones, yet maintaining my spirit through all of my music. This is my year and nobody can tell me differently”.
But artists these days can’t just rely on a sound. While Dro has a fire sonic, she’s also building the layers to her empire thoughtfully and meticulously. From a recording studio, a clothing line to plans of a record label, this is an artist who understands all facets of the industry and is implementing them step-by-step with a strong foundation.
