What first go you into music?
I started singing in the church choir at 10 years old and in 7th grade I joined the choir at my school.
Who inspired you to make music?
The funny thing was I was always into the beat of the song. I joined the band in high school, I played the drums once I got serious about playing and music, we use to come up with our own beats along with the different sections. Around the time I was about to graduate one of my band mates said why don’t you become a music producer, I asked what do they do. He told me they make the beats to a song.
How would you describe the music you typically create?
Very eclectic, since I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s I heard a very wide variety of music. I may make a pop beat today, a trap beat the next day, a beat you might here in a video game or movie, or a r&b and trap feel. It really depends, also I was told by young and old my beats are very different.
What is your creative process?
My creative process comes at very weird times, it could be while I’m driving to me being in classroom thinking about a melody ( I’m a substitute teacher) but you never know with me. Who would you most like to collaborate with? Oh wow there are so many talented producers, singers, and rappers out there now. I’m a huge nwa fan to day trip, to cardio b. Just anyone who would make me a better producer and writer.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
One message is never give up on your dream and don’t let noone talk you out of it. I’m older than most aspiring producers but I have been making beats once college since that’s what I went to school for. I made the mistake of listening to others and not following what I went to college for. Back then, we didn’t have the software like they do now, you had to either play instruments or be a dj.
Which famous musicians do you admire?
There are so many that I admire from queen, dr dre, to the new artist they have now. It’s mainly I admire the work and what they had to go true to get to where they are. What’s next for you? Seriously continuing making beats that people would like, I would really like to win a grammy for my production work and skills.
