Bronx native, StarMade Day is back with a brand new single titled, “I-95/Don’t Understand” featuring Shoota Shawn. The two have collaborated in the past and the record was a smash, so it was only right to do it again!
Who Is StarMade Day?
Day was strongly inspired by hip hop music while growing up in the Bronx. Because of his love for music, he started writing music and studying the craft at a young age. In 2011, he founded his own independent record label — M.A.D.E, (My Ambition Drives Everything). This forum was built to innovate culture and bring together the younger generation. He uses this forum as a means to put together independent artists and produce timeless music.
The talented emcee describes how finding happiness in a dark place inspired him to make more meaningful music. Day’s unique ingenious process results in meaningful music that everybody can understand. Since he wanted to encourage people to remain focused, this new chapter provided a better opportunity for himself to do so.
Day continues to reveal more about his life and personality in diplomatic ways with each record. Every record is a better insight to his artistry and who he is as an individual. His primary way of expressing himself is through his music and this is because he believes the art of music brings people together.

StarMade Day is back with his latest drop off titled, “I-95/Don’t Understand” featuring Shoota Shawn. For the ShotByLens-directed visual it kicks off with his “I-95” intro visual where fans get a front row seat at the day in the life of Star Made Day as he’s hype, riding out deep in luxury cars. Shortly after, the music video transitions into Day’s track, “Don’t Understand”.
Not always seen, the hot new visual is edited and blended so well. Making for an overall star-made record accompanied by a visual that is a captivating yet intriguing piece. Although separate, the two clips follow a storyline while also maintaining its individuality. Switching up the vibe, On “Don’t Understand” both emcees lay out their hearts and experiences over the hypnotizing beat. Lyrically inclined, Day and Shoota Shawn bring their hard hitting bars and ambitious mentality to the forefront for a second time. Day’s brand new single comes as a follow up to their previous collaboration on 2020’s “Bronx Time” record.
What’s Next?
For his fans, making timeless records is therapeutic. His greatest achievement is being able to assist others in their time of need. Day is continually releasing new music as he embraces his new path. The brand new single and paired visual “I-95/Don’t Understand” speak for itself.
