Roc Kartel has finally released his project Time is Now 3. The latest installment in his Time Is Now EP series hosts five tracks that offer an authentic look at the emcee’s life and showcase his progression as an artist.
“[The EP] was inspired by my recent personal events and things that happened in the past,” the Maryland native explained. “On this project I feel like I got a little more deep and my meaning for Time is Now is that ain’t nothing promised to us not even the next 30 minutes so I’m not about to let nothing at all hold me back in no type of way.”
A standout track on the artist’s project is his lead single “High Road” for which he released the official music video earlier this month. On this particular song listeners hear Roc Kartel talk about the strides he is making within life and how that means he cannot sink to the same level as those he deems lame or haters.
Hailing from a musically-inclined family, Roc Kartel was always involved with music in some capacity stating that he had grown up writing songs since it came to him so naturally but would not seriously pursue his career until 2010. In recent years, Kartel has been able to grow a fanbase off of his popular single from 2017 “Real Woman” and now his Time is Now EP series that he debuted in 2020.
Amid the release of Time is Now 3, Roc Kartel is currently on his “Time is Now Street Tour” traveling to locations throughout the west coast that allow for street performances. The innovative idea came to him once he decided that he did not want to wait for venues to book him just for him to be able to connect with fans and perform.
“I want to impact as many people as possible in a good way. I plan to tour the world
because I want to touch the people. The people matter the most to me and if I get those awards and all that then that’s cool too.”
