FAR ROCKAWAY, N.Y. — Rising artist Pronto is stepping out of Far Rockaway, Queens with a mission to bring authenticity, resilience and inspiration back to a community often overlooked. Drawing from a childhood surrounded by both sports and street struggles, Pronto is using music as a way to honor fallen local legends and give hope to the next generation.
“I feel like I’m one of the most authentic artists there is, with the talent to match,” Pronto said. “I grew up in Rockaway projects looking up to artists like Chinx and Stack Bundles who are now gone. I want to be the motivation they couldn’t be, someone people from Rockaway can relate to and know I didn’t forget about them.”

From Struggle to Sound
Though still early in his career, Pronto has already taken the stage alongside rising New York names like Khus, earning recognition in Long Island’s Suffolk County scene. His upcoming debut EP, Drowning, represents both a personal and creative rebirth.
“I went through a depression phase where I didn’t want to make music due to certain losses I couldn’t cope with,” he explained. “I felt stagnant and inconsistent. But the more I returned to creating, the more I realized I have the opportunity to change the whole game.”

A Different Kind of Vision
Unlike many artists chasing fame, Pronto’s vision goes deeper than accolades. His goal is to achieve financial stability, provide for his family, and give back to Far Rockaway by opening doors for others.
“I don’t want to be the hottest or biggest artist from my area,” Pronto said. “I want to be the person who came back home, gave opportunities, and never forgot where I came from.”
