From hard rock to hip hop to R&B, this latest emerging emcee can do it all. Originating from Orlando, is none other than M1H1! Starting out in 2018, it was hard to break out on the underground scene after superstars such as Danny Towers, Tyla Yahweh, and Glock nine. Although gaining traction and getting a solid fan base was difficult, the trailblazing talent didn’t get discouraged.
Orlando’s underground sound changed with his break out banger “4074life“, mixing rap music with hard rock. This was the start of a whole new sound we haven’t heard before called aggressive Grimey hip hop. When mentioning his musical inspirations, M1H1 credits Logic, Hopsin, Scarlxrd , XXXTENTACION, and many more. As a popular performer, M1H1 has appeared at many different events such as the A3C Music Festival and SXSW. He hopes to perform at the top tier festivals such as Lollapalooza, Rolling Loud, EDC, and Coachella.
You might be wondering, what does M1H1 mean? When his mother told young M1 to look in the mirror and tell her what he saw, he replied, “one hope, one message”, and has remained true to that message ever since. Nonetheless, each and every record is made up of a M1H1 message.
