Lil Nas X continues to prove he can’t be restrained to one genre as the artist has now crept his way on to the rock charts.
Yesterday it was reported that “Old Town Road” has become the longest running No. 1 Hip-Hop song on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It was also reported that the record which features Billy Ray Cyrus, is the first song in history that has surpassed 10 million units sold in the U.S. while being No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Lil Nas X continues to break more barriers. He now has two songs from his EP 7, that have debuted on the Billboard Rock charts. According to Billboard, “F9mily (You & Me)” and “Bring U Down” featuring Ryan Tedder, debut at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively, on Hot Rock Songs.”

In addition to entering the rock charts, his EP 7 debuts at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts with 77,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music. “Panini” debuts at No. 16 and “Rodeo” which features Cardi B, debuts at No. 22 on the Hot 100 chart.
Lastly, Billboard reports that both “Panini” and “Rodeo,” “concurrently debut on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at Nos. 9 and 12, respectively. On Hot Rap Songs, they launch at Nos. 7 and 10.”
