Lais Consequence Stream – Lais‘ new song, “Consequence,” is smooth and confident, walking the fine line between arrogance and self-assurance.
The lyrics are like a slowed-down, hip-hop version of Steve Monite’s “Only You,” where the lyrics don’t present the perspective of the singer, but rather of someone looking back at him with longing (see also Abba’s “The Winner Takes It All”). Within this conceit there’s plenty of room for fun wordplay and Lais makes the most of it.
This song is the first single off of Lais’ upcoming album SESSIION, which comes out in only 5 days, on September 21st. It will be Lais’ first album since 2017’s Give Me One More. Lais Consequence Stream
