Kid Cudi fans will lead the first episode of SUPERFANS, a new concert-centered video podcast arriving October 27.

Kid Cudi’s listeners are getting the opening spotlight in SUPERFANS. The new series premieres October 27 on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, according to Live Nation’s announcement.

Billboard executive editor Lyndsey Havens hosts a format built around two strangers who love the same artist. Each episode brings them together for a concert, with conversations about favorite songs, personal memories and the connections music creates.

The opening Cudi installment begins a weekly season that will also follow fans of Peso Pluma, Stray Kids, Big Boi, KATSEYE and A$AP Rocky. The producers have also announced surprise encounters with artists along the way.

Live Nation co-produces the show with Magnet Originals. In a separate account of the studio’s beginnings, founder Megan Cunningham described building a company around stories rooted in particular people, places and cultural experiences that might otherwise struggle to attract investment.

That approach also informed Living for the City, the Hanif Abdurraqib-hosted series Cunningham introduced as the first show from SIDE STAGE, the network developed with Live Nation. Its focus on a city’s musical identity offers a different route into the same broader subject: the communities that form around music.

SUPERFANS shifts that attention toward the listeners themselves. With the premiere scheduled for Tuesday, the series is positioned around what happens when an individual attachment to an artist becomes a shared concert experience.
