LE9AZ was born in San Jose and raised in Fresno from the age of ten, carrying with him the influence of both cities as he grew. Music entered his life during high school when he began creating as a way to express himself and navigate the challenges around him. Although life circumstances forced him to step away for a while, his passion for music never faded. Now he is fully back on his path, motivated and ready to bring love and truth into the game.
His sound is a fusion of Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, and Soul, showcasing both versatility and emotion. While he does not play instruments, he has honed his craft as a storyteller and artist through his voice and his pen. LE9AZ cites some of the greatest names in music as his influences including Eminem, J. Cole, 2Pac, Jay Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Joey Bada$$, and Logic. These artists have all left their mark on him, inspiring his commitment to lyrical depth and authentic artistry.
On September 11th, LE9AZ celebrated the release of his very first EP, a project that marked an important milestone in his career.
