Influenced lyrically by a wide range of vocalists from Hip Hop legends like Grand Master Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Rakim, NWA & more to legendary dancehall artists such as Bounty Killa, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Capleton, Super Cat and Jr Cat while also being a lover of classic R & B and Rock, Alice In Chains, Mutabaruka, Sade, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Steel Pulse and so many more greats, be prepared to be entertained by DJ Lewy Lew’s infused gumbo of in depth, professionally delivered vocals.
Having performed a variety of functions through the years from DJing hundreds of private parties and events, to opening for De La Soul in Virginia Beach as an artist to breaking artists from Rihanna to B.O.B. to Gucci Mane, Akon, Young Jeezy & more while DJing in clubs to doing street team promotions for Jay Z, TI, Flo Rida, Missy Elliot and many more for legendary companies including Def Jam & Atlantic records. DJ Lewy Lew has even smoked cannabis with reggae legends Cocoa T and Capleton while managing Reggae artist Prince Pankhi and also single handedly organized a major Reggae show featuring legendary singer Sanchez and his band and also Reggae legends Sean Paul, Mr Vegas and Mr Lexxus at the Hampton University convocation center. Through his music DJ Lewy Lew will be channelling all of his life’s experiences and energy into his upcoming releases.
With an Album release date set for October 12, 2021, DJ Lewy Lew will be releasing a series of singles, videos and EPs until that date and currently plans to release no more than 2 full length artist album projects. Today, the DJ released “The Terp Mall One THE PHONE HOMIE SONG” in celebration Virginia’s marijuana decriminalization that goes into effect that day, he will follow up with an updated version of his well received WTF single dropping August 2020, DJ Lewy Lew will be continuously raining musical fire upon the earth starting 07/01/2020!
