Bhu$$ is a new rapper making his way into the current west coast music scene. Hailing from Compton and based in Woodland Hills, the newest rhythmic rapper is here to make sure everyone knows his name. With comparisons to Nipsey Hussle, Lil Durk and Roddy Ricch, BHu$$ is continuing in the footsteps of great rappers whose influential sound encompasses the rap scene today. The young rapper got his start in music in 2018 during his sophomore year of high school, and his upbringing was inspiration for the expressive music he’s known for. “My upbringing created my sound because the way I think and the things I prioritize are all in my music. My latest music videos that are currently in the works of being dropped are based on true moments in my life and where I grew up.”
Personable yet, serious, the California artist has been able to connect with audiences through expressing his life and being transparent in his lyricism. Over the past two years, Bhu$$ has been making great headway into the music industry as he released his first Mixtape Huss and Friends Vol. 1 and then released another single “All in” which he later dropped a visual for. The west coast artist is now back to redeem himself with the 2nd installation of Huss and Friends debuting later this year. This mixtape will be a collaborative album with artists that he grew up with locally. “Music is about building genuine relationships to me and keeping them strong,” Bhu$$ said in a recent interview. “People change some people stay the same. This second project just shows the progression within my sound and my how it has evolved me and my peers around me. We all come from the same area. Those who remain the same around me no matter my circumstances mean a lot to me and honestly this project is just resembling that.”
