The adidas Originals’ annual collaboration with Man United continues with beautiful trainers taking us back to 1999, exclusively from the size? Manchester store.
adidas Originals has debuted a new sneaker honoring Manchester United‘s historic Champions League win in 1999. The sneaker — named the Barcelona 99 — takes its name from the city in which United triumphed, and is constructed from a pebbled leather upper, which is offset with a suede toe overlay and detailing in honor of the famous victory.
In reference to Manchester United’s iconic colors, the sneaker features a “Cloud White” upper with “Scarlet” detailing on the Three Stripe branding, heel tab and tongue branding. Other features include footbed images of the Manchester United badge in the left shoe and Ole Gunnar Solksjær celebrating his 93rd minute winner on the right.
