I.RONIK took “a right turn” on his recent single “BANDMAN,” he says, and it’s not hard to believe him. After a brief creative hiatus, he’s back to releasing music — and he’s going all in.
As for the magic of “BANDMAN” itself, I.RONIK weaves syrupy bars over an ethereal beat produced by Zdanbeatz, who I.RONIK connected with on YouTube.
“I decided to DM him and was able to make a connection,” I.RONIK said. “I told him that we are going to do numbers on this and he said ‘sounds good’.”
“A day later, after the release, [Zdanbeatz] said ‘you weren’t lying’,” he added.
Engineering wise, the Mission Viejo, California MC enlisted the talented TOPBOY, considered by I.RONIK to be “a key part” to the outcome of the track and a friend as well.
“He has always been more than an engineer, also a real friend,” I.RONIK said. “The feedback he gives is crucial. I would like to think we will have many years of friendship and accomplishments…soon both of us will get the opportunity and we will show the talent we have and the art the world needs to see.”
It doesn’t look like I.RONIK is taking his foot off the gas after “BANDMAN,” as he says he is currently working on further diversifying his sound, something that he and fans have been anticipating for a long time.
“This is an exciting time to be an I.RONIK fan,” he said. “After the way ‘BANDMAN’ was received with open arms, I have even more confidence for these next songs and videos.”
