Offset and Don Toliver reunite for a Jodeci-inspired collaboration as the countdown to GMFU continues.
Offset has released “Every Night” featuring Don Toliver, adding another collaboration to a partnership that stretches back to 2019. Out October 8 through Motown Records, the single arrives ahead of Offset’s forthcoming album, GMFU.
Produced by Jaasu, the track draws on Jodeci’s “Freek’n You,” bringing a familiar 1990s R&B reference into the new release. The songwriting credits include Donald Degrate alongside Offset, Don Toliver and Jaasu Mallory, connecting that influence to the record’s credited contributors.
Offset and Toliver previously joined forces on “Worth It,” a collaboration from Offset’s 2023 album Set It Off. “Every Night” brings the pair back together nearly three years after that release, giving their shared catalog another entry as Offset prepares his next project.
Their recording history reaches further back to “Had Enough,” Don Toliver’s collaboration with Quavo and Offset on the 2019 JACKBOYS project. Across those releases, both artists have taken turns hosting the other, with the latest single returning the lead billing to Offset.
GMFU is scheduled for October 23. Discussing the project with Paper Magazine, Offset said, “I’m back to the music,” and described wanting listeners to hear what he had been thinking about and working on.
The new collaboration also follows “Something I Need,” which Offset released in September. With “Every Night” now available ahead of the album, listeners can stream the song on Spotify and Apple Music.
