Hip-hop artist usually represents a culture, a neighborhood, or a group of some sort, but not this time. He came from various backgrounds and places all around the US. His family circumstances force his adolescent years to travel across America without letting him rest. From Puerto Rico, Texas, Hawaii, South and North Carolina, he has stepped on them all.
But, what was a dreadful experience has become a blessing in disguise. Traveling all around the place and witnessing different cultures, music, and ways of living helped him acquire his unique taste, perspective, and way of approaching music. Here comes the new real deal of hip-hop, Elite.
Elite and his music
His real name is Cameron Torres, but he goes with Elite. Growing up in different places was an atrocious experience for him, at least that’s what he thought. But now, he realized that it was just a way the universe prepared him and cooked him to be the musician he is today.
But rest assured, the multiple cultures doesn’t mean he got no trademarks. He knows his blessings shouldn’t put him high on the horse and stop improving. He always seeks to improve himself not only by practicing and making different kinds of music, but he even went far as to study different kinds of music. All that combined, he became the Elite that he is right now.
Elite’s inspiration in hip-hop
As a matter of inspiration, Elite takes several different artists with different music shapes as role models. Lil-Wayne, Jay-Z, 36 Mafia, and Gucci Mane, to name a few. From the classics to the new breed, Elite doesn’t just adore them; he studies them. From how they make their music to how they live as artists.
“I found myself emulating not only their music style, but also the way they handle themselves in the public eye. I wanted to be an artist in the true sense of the word and not just another faceless musician finding his five minutes of fame in the industry.”

Elite’s resolutions
His grit, skills, and blessings have all been put to great use. He always strife to release great music that fits into every corner of the communities. He understands how you can connect all different cultures and communities through good music. That’s why he believes it’s his destiny to do great, and he will.
