BigXthaPlug Confronts Broken Trust on “BURN” With Ava Max

BigXthaPlug brings Ava Max into his latest release as he looks toward BETTER OVER TIME, arriving October 30.

BigXthaPlug has teamed up with Ava Max for “BURN,” a new single released on October 9, 2026. Issued through BigXthaPlug under exclusive license to UnitedMasters, the collaboration brings the Dallas rapper and pop singer together ahead of his next album.

The song centers on the disappointment of supporting people who later betray that trust. Across two verses, BigXthaPlug reflects on giving others opportunities and discovering that generosity does not always earn loyalty, placing personal relationships at the heart of the release.

Ava Max adds another notable name to BigXthaPlug’s growing range of collaborators. Known for “Sweet but Psycho” and “Kings & Queens,” she joins an artist whose recent catalog includes recordings with Bailey Zimmerman and Ella Langley, continuing his run of collaborations across rap, country and pop.

“BURN” credits Charley Cooks, JULiA LEWiS and Tony Coles as producers. Running just under three minutes, the single keeps its focus on the fallout from broken trust, with BigXthaPlug’s verses examining the distance between helping someone and being able to depend on them.

The track also appears on BETTER OVER TIME, an 18-track project scheduled for October 30. Its arrival follows “LITE,” BigXthaPlug’s collaboration with Belly Gang Kushington, giving listeners another introduction to the album’s lineup before the full release.

The two singles bring different guests into the rollout, with “BURN” pairing BigXthaPlug with one of pop’s recognizable voices. For listeners following his expanding catalog, the collaboration offers a new point of connection ahead of the album’s arrival later this month.
