Logic and Joseph Gordon-Levitt worked together for a new song “Do What You Love”. Both artists recruited other musicians on the internet last year, finally the song features 21 people with different backgrounds and skill sets from around the world.
Logic and Joseph Gordon-Levitt revealed a music video for the song on March 15th, including behind the scene of creating the song.
Logic said, “It’s about doing what you love, no matter what it is, whether it’s music or writing or art.”
Joseph Gordon-Levitt told Jimmy Kimmel Friday,
“It’s not a contest, it’s a collaboration,” he said. “At the end of the show, all these people all over the world, they weren’t competing against each other, they made a song together.”
The clip shows the rapper and the actor driving to a gas station in the “mystery machine.” At the pump, the 21 contributors pile out from the trunk and they delve into a performance of the song, with each person showing off how they took part in the tune. “It’s about doing what you love, no matter what it is, whether it’s music or writing or art,” Logic explained of the track in the original announcement video.
