Kodak Black’s latest solo reworking brings him onto the instrumental behind Drake’s “Little Birdie,” with the official release available on YouTube.

Kodak Black has delivered “Lil Birdie,” adding his own performance to a record already familiar to Drake listeners. The release appears on his official YouTube channel under the expanded title “Little Birdie,” while its description uses “Lil Birdie.”

The starting point is Drake’s “Little Birdie,” which appeared on ICEMAN earlier this year. Kodak retains the underlying instrumental for his own version, bringing a solo billing and a new set of verses to the existing record.

His appearance on the beat follows months of listeners comparing the original song’s delivery with his own style. That conversation now has an actual Kodak recording to consider, giving the two versions a direct musical connection beyond the comparisons that preceded this release.

“Lil Birdie” also adds to a substantial year of releases for the Florida rapper. His Kodak The Blessing project arrived June 12 with 26 tracks, including collaborations with Fridayy, Rylo Rodriguez, Lil Crix and 1900Rugrat.

More recently, he joined Yung Miami and Lil Baby on the “Spend Dat” remix, released August 28. “Lil Birdie” puts the attention back on a Kodak-led performance, following that guest appearance and his larger summer project.
