September 2024 — After a series of electrifying shows across Alberta, 5 Fires and DI$TINCT have completed their collaborative tour supporting k-os, leaving a lasting impact on audiences. The tour brought together the unique talents of these two rising stars, blending genres and creating memorable live experiences that pushed the boundaries of modern music.
5 FIRES is a dynamic artist who has worked with Kevin Rudolf and Cash Money’s Onsight Deeda. He filmed at Cool and Dre’s crib, recorded at Miami’s Pink House Studios, and created content at Hollywood Pompeii Studios. His single “Threw My Life Away” featuring Kevin Rudolf is out now, with a billboard in Times Square. He just toured with k-os in September and will be on the road with Evil Ebenezer in October. He recently returned from Miami after recording with Onsight Deeda.
Alongside him, DI$TINCT—a Red Deer Music Award winner—brought his raw, high-energy flow to the stage. DI$TINCT has an impressive track record, having released singles like “On Day” featuring Merkules and “2 Hell” featuring Golden BSP. He has toured extensively with top artists such as k-os, Evil Ebenezer, Junk, Snak The Ripper, and Golden BSP. He’s also performed on the “Big Four” stage at the Calgary Stampede and opened for legendary acts like D12, Lloyd Banks, and Slick Rick in 2024. His collaborations extend to Death Row Records, and he’s toured with Grammy, Juno, and WCMA award nominees and winners.
k-os is a critically acclaimed Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer who has been at the forefront of blending hip-hop, rock, reggae, and funk. Known for hits like “Crabbuckit” and “Man I Used to Be,” k-os has received multiple Juno Awards and been recognized for pushing the boundaries of genre and creating music that challenges conventions. His groundbreaking approach and dedication to artistry have made him one of the most influential figures in Canadian music, with a career spanning over two decades. His latest tour continues to inspire and captivate audiences across the country.
The tour was further energized by DJ DAK-B, whose flawless mixes and crowd-hyping skills from The Block Production kept the atmosphere electric from start to finish.
Reflecting on the tour, 5 FIRES shared, “Performing with DI$TINCT was awesome, and it was a dream come true to open for K-OS.
