Carlj, a North Jersey native, has been making waves in the Los Angeles music scene for the past few years. As we move into 2023, it looks like this year is going to be his biggest yet. After releasing his seven-song project, “East Coast Baby,” in August of last year, Carlj has been relentlessly developing his craft and growing as an MC and artist. He’s been writing and creating music for over five years now, and recently, he’s hit his stride with new flows and an ever-growing ear for production.
It’s not easy to build a following and brand in a creative industry in Los Angeles, but Carlj has been able to overcome many of the challenges that come with it. His successful career as a production/ construction coordinator on major TV sets like HGTV’s “Forever Home” has allowed him to make solid connections and take home a ton of inspiration to apply to his own music pursuit.
