Delivering a mellow lo-fi Hip-Hop sound, ‘Dirty Y-3’s’ is the brand new single from North Carolina based rapper Z-AK47. Written following a bout with depression, ‘Dirty Y-3’s’ sees Z-AK47 face down his demons, and push himself to a better place.
“Dirty Y-3’s” brings to light how difficult the journey to understanding your purpose may be. This new track features Z-AK47’ classic rapping, while also mixing in a mellow lo-fi Hip-Hop, catchy hook. Despite the emotional subjects in the track, the North Carolina rapper finds a way to incorporate a positive twist.
The song was written at 3am and recorded in his friend’s closet, ‘Dirty Y-3’s’ captures the essence of DIY music in a raw and authentic way. ‘Dirty Y-3’s’ has a real ‘look at me now’ attitude, as Z-AK47 shuns materialism and the hate and disrespect that can come from social media. Released as a precursor to the album he is currently writing, ‘Dirty Y-3’s’ is certainly getting us excited to hear more from Z-AK47.
North Carolina rapper Z-AK47 has been making his own music since he was 14. Telling all of his problems, successes and losses to the mic, Z-AK47 prides himself in the truth and honesty captured in his music. One of the first rappers from his hometown, Z-AK47 has been to New York to record with Jay Critch, and has also worked with The Game and Skizzy Mars on tracks that are set to be released on his upcoming album!
