Erlanger, Kentucky native YBJAY is an aspiring HipHop artist with a new sound. YBJAY uses his music to express himself and loves to vibe out and perform for those who like his music. He wants to inspire others with his music and show you don’t have to act or be a certain way to make good music. YBJAY has been inspired by artists like the Migos, OutKast, and others by using their style of music in his own way.
YBJAY got into making music in the 6th grade. His Aunt would show him other music like HipHop and artists like G. Herbo. This really changed his music as he was only exposed to Gospel music growing up with his grandma. When his Aunt showed him this music, it made him realize he could do it also, and it was what he liked. YBJAY sounds like nobody else and doesn’t make any song the same. He makes his own organic sound which separates him from other artists.
YBJAY is really new to dropping music so he’s just getting the hang of it. He’s performed 3 times so far in Kentucky, Detroit, and Ohio, spreading his music quite a bit already. Jay just hit over 100,000 views on his YouTube already and he plans to keep growing. This new year, and his future career, he plans to travel the world and meet others who can gather and just enjoy his music. His biggest goal is making a living off of what he likes doing.
