Wave: Columbus Artist Making Music Straight From the Heart

Piaras, known to fans as Wave, is an artist straight out of Columbus, Ohio, building a name based on raw emotion and real life. In an industry full of noise, Wave stands out by staying true to his story and letting the music speak for itself.

Wave’s journey into music wasn’t planned. It started in 2015 after the heartbreaking loss of his brother. Music became therapy, a way to process pain when words weren’t enough. His first piece, “Real Niggas Don’t Cry,” remains unreleased, but it marked the beginning. By 2018, Wave started officially releasing music, debuting with “Watch My Wave.” Shortly after, he dropped “Villains Never Die,” a project that racked up over 40,000 plays across platforms, proving that authentic music finds its audience.

What sets Wave apart is simple: he’s real. He’s one of the few Columbus artists who doesn’t have to fabricate stories for streams or clout. Every track comes straight from where he’s at emotionally, and that honesty resonates.

Wave’s path hasn’t been easy. Losing his grandma and brother within six months shook him to his core, pulling him away from music more than once. But rather than quitting, he turned the grief into motivation. His upcoming album, “Family Matters,” is a tribute to everyone he’s lost and everyone still holding him down. It’s about the real meaning of family — something that has carried him through the hardest times.

Looking ahead, Wave has big plans. He’s laying the groundwork for his own label, GTB OTM, and wants to solidify his place in the industry not just as an artist but as a boss. With a goal of releasing 100 songs by the end of next year, he’s moving with purpose.

Wave knows he has the voice and the work ethic. Now it’s about getting the exposure. He’s pushing “Villains Never Die” as a statement piece, showing the world who he is and why he’s next. If you’re looking for music that comes from a real place, Wave is an artist you need to tap into.
