Vondo Drops 'Deep Waters' Album Under New Alias

VONDO begins his fresh start with an entire new album titled, Deep Waters. By fresh start, we mean under his new moniker, as he formally went by Von Prospa. Here to ensure his fans nothing has changed but his stage name, the New Jersey-native gets right to it with the 10-track project.

“Sometimes to get where we want to go in life, we have to take that [deep] dive we’ve been scared to take. This is the premise of the project. Facing the deep waters, knowing everything you want is below the surface… you just have to take the leap to get it.”

VONDO even took behind the boards on this one, as he produced six of the ten records. Other production included contributions from Lucas Quinn, Flavr Boy, Lollini, KXVI and Karn Beats. As for guest features, he called for just one, fellow NJ-native Noah for “Lived It Well”. This multifaceted musician is a rapper, producer and song-writer from Roselle, New Jersey.

He has been shaking up the scene since he was thirteen. At a young age, Von began honing his craft by sculpting his rapping and song-writing abilities. His raw talent, consistency and growing acclaim leads to a very bright future for the young emcee.

Deep Waters is a great listen front-to-back, showing VONDO’s growth as an artist, and just a small glance of what he has in store for us under his fresh alias. Stream in full below, and/or on your preferred DSP. Lastly, let us know what you think here at 24HR Hip-Hop! As for all VONDO updates, stay connected with him below!
