Ricardo P has just landed himself on the Top 200 iTunes Charts at #111 with one of his recent hit singles, “Throwback,” featuring American singer/songwriter/producer “Eric Bellinger”. The track features writing from Nicholos “Nykotine” Tyler & production from Phillip Scott & Raheem Morgan.
It’s catchy, smooth, and definitely, a cross between club-ambient Hip Hop and melodic-poppy R&B vibes spread throughout the whole record. This is one of those records that as soon as you hear it, you know it’s a BOP. All the way from the production down to the chemistry between both of these artists coming together. When asked about the record and how it all came together, Ricardo P shared a bit of the origin behind the hit song and how the relationship with Eric Bellinger came about:
“I first met Eric Bellinger in 2015 from a show in Fresno, California. I became an instant fan. I started to follow his music. I was also throwing club events in Fresno when I was living there, and I booked him a couple of times. After that, I kept in contact, and my boy Darone Bowers set up the session.This was when I started working back on music and hit him up for a collaboration. We recorded it in Burbank, California, with a dope engineer named “DJ Fai.” Right there, we knew it was an instant banger!”
“Throwback” is definitely skyrocketing, which only shows us that Ricardo P & Eric Bellinger are definitely a duo with seamless chemistry.
