Elle Varner has released only one studio album in Perfectly Imperfect so far but her talent definitely deserves more. The singer has been in the studio lately, putting finishing touches to her sophomore album which is due later this year.
After the initial drop ‘Loving You Blind‘, the singer is back today with a brand new single called ‘Pour Me’ where she reconnects with Wale. The two had collaborated back in 2013 as well on the track ‘Rover‘ which was loved by fans.
As the name suggest, “Pour Me” is a single about drinking that leads Varner to think about a lover. Wale opens the song with a poetic verse, and comes back to conclude his thoughts near the end of the track.
The instrumental for “Pour Me” is gorgeous, employing sweeping piano keys to give the song a classic vibe.
