Anderson .Paak returns with the release of “King James,” the first single off his upcoming Ventura album (out April 12th).
Along with new music, the Aftermath artist is sharing the artwork and tracklist for the project. It features 11 tracks, with guest apperances from André 3000, Smokey Robinson, Nate Dogg and many others.
“King James” takes jazz-funk inspirations to a new level with the sounds of a smooth saxophone, which opens the smile-provoking 808 beat that rides under the Grammy-winning musician’s voice.
Though the single seems very serious, .Paak’s “King James” inspires a groove with its upbeat production. Listen to the song below.
