Soul Wavy Speaks on Legacy, Ownership, and the Road Ahead

Soul Wavy isn’t chasing trends — he’s building infrastructure.

Q: You’ve been making music since you were 16. What’s kept you consistent over the years?
Soul Wavy: Vision. I always knew this wasn’t just about songs. It’s about building something that lasts. Music is the foundation, but the mindset is long-term.

Coming out of Dallas, Texas, Soul Wavy has spent years sharpening his craft with purpose. Inspired by the late Nipsey Hussle, his approach to music is rooted in ownership, discipline, and authenticity. Every bar he delivers reflects lived experience and intentional growth.

Q: You write all of your own music and create your video concepts. Why is that important to you?
Soul Wavy: Because nobody can tell my story better than me. Writing everything myself keeps it real. The visuals are an extension of that — I want people to see what I’m thinking, not just hear it.

His debut project, “Kidnap the Queen Vol. 1,” introduced listeners to his sound and mindset. Now, he’s preparing to elevate that foundation with “Kidnap the Queen Vol. 2,” promising sharper execution and deeper storytelling.

Q: You’ve worked with artists like Fat Bastard and Tum Tum. How do collaborations fit into your journey?
Soul Wavy: I move with people who respect the craft. The record “Banging Screw” with Fat Bastard is a perfect example — it’s organic and authentic.

Looking ahead, Soul Wavy has his sights set on bigger stages, with New York City at the top of his performance wishlist. While independent, he remains open to the right deal — one that aligns with his vision.

Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Soul Wavy: Established. Music strong, brand solid, and multiple businesses running. Legacy is the goal.

Soul Wavy isn’t chasing trends — he’s building infrastructure.
