Kansas City’s own Six Lungs (Anthony Florez) returns with a soul-stirring new album titled Cloud Six, released on June 17, 2025. The project is an atmospheric blend of hip-hop, introspection, and resilience—serving as both a reflection on life’s storms and a celebration of finding peace amid the chaos.
As Six Lungs explains, “Life is like a storm, and with storms come clouds.” Cloud Six captures the essence of pushing through personal trials and tribulations, transforming pain into power, and ultimately discovering success and beauty through the struggle. The album is deeply personal, yet universal in its message—anchored by lush production and sharp lyricism.
The record features standout contributions from a diverse lineup of collaborators, including Jack Harlow, LUV GNR, Helsing, Hurracane, King Kihei, and Eliza Lucky. It’s an emotionally layered and genre-bending experience, rooted in authenticity.
Primary production and engineering come courtesy of Smartalec On The Track, with additional mixing and mastering by Robert Rebeck. The album also features sonic contributions from Cozy, Luxury, Sogimura, Onetraptsoul, and Slaken—blending hazy textures, melodic flourishes, and hard-hitting moments to craft a uniquely immersive listening journey.
Fans of artists like Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa, and A$AP Rocky will find familiarity in Six Lungs’ emotive delivery and elevated sound, while also experiencing a fresh voice in the evolving hip-hop landscape.
