Hip-hop lyricist and music veteran RoGarth has dropped his latest album, Curse of Psycho Sampson, the eagerly anticipated second instalment in the Psycho Sampson series. Released on 28th November 2025, just in time for the Thanksgiving weekend, this versatile rap project invites listeners into a shadowy world of murder mysteries and vigilantism, where every track pulses with witty pop-culture references, sharp lyricism and trendy beats.
RoGarth steps forward with a commanding presence on Curse of Psycho Sampson, delivering a project that feels vivid, immersive, and unapologetically original. The album thrives on its atmosphere, pulling listeners into a tense, cinematic soundscape where his penmanship cuts through with precision and confidence. Every verse carries intention, revealing an artist who understands how to shape emotion, pacing, and tone into a cohesive listening journey. His experience shows in the way he controls momentum, allowing each moment to breathe while still maintaining a strong sense of direction. The result is a compelling body of work that stands tall within hip-hop’s storytelling lane, proving RoGarth is not only consistent but creatively fearless, with a style that invites replay after replay without losing its impact.
At its core, Curse of Psycho Sampson continues the tale of Ralph Psycho Sampson, a notorious serial killer, and a determined vigilante sharing the same name, who fights to reclaim his tarnished reputation. Drawing inspiration from this dual narrative, RoGarth crafted the album as a sequel that builds on the series’ foundation, incorporating contributions from several artists featured on the critically acclaimed Wood on Da Beat live review show. The result is a collection brimming with collaborations, including standout features from Emanuel Curtis, Duddukk2x, Kilo Fresh, Woodondabeat, Sweat$uit and more, creating a dynamic blend of horror and suspense that keeps fans hooked on the unfolding story.
This hip-hop rap album stands out for its versatility, weaving together elements of pop-culture, fashion, creativity and fantasy. RoGarth hopes listeners will immerse themselves in the world of Curse of Psycho Sampson, finding entertainment in the high-quality music or in spotting the clever easter eggs hidden within the punchlines, details that reward multiple listens and reveal new layers each time.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, and now residing in Los Angeles, California, RoGarth maintains strong Midwest roots while pursuing his passion for music. A 20-year veteran in writing and producing, he began his journey at 16 as part of the group STR, releasing his first collection of tracks. After pausing his music pursuits to focus on a collegiate and professional basketball career, RoGarth retired as an athlete and shifted his energy to creating music for television and film. Expanding his presence in the entertainment industry, RoGarth will be featured in the upcoming movie Viper, playing the role of Santos, an underground MMA fighter. The film includes Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Stephen Dorff, and UFC’s Uriah Hall, and is expected to be released in 2026.
His influences span hip-hop icons like Bone Thugs & Harmony, who sparked his initial interest, alongside Jay Z’s consistency, Eminem’s emergence, Wiz Khalifa’s creativity, Tech N9ne’s charisma and independence, Juicy J’s longevity and Lil B’s confidence.
What sets RoGarth apart is his refusal to conform to rapper stereotypes; instead, he positions himself as a creative storyteller using hip-hop and rap to craft immersive narratives. He describes his style as the Greatest Show on Audio, packed with entertaining layers that demand repeated plays to catch every nuance. One of his most memorable moments came early on with STR, when the group drove hours to perform at a country club as the sole rap act of the night, earning the only standing ovation and a surge of confidence in their craft.
