Rod Wave has another chart-topper as Don’t Look Down opens at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with nearly 100,000 equivalent album units.
Rod Wave earned his fourth No. 1 album as Don’t Look Down debuted atop the Billboard 200 dated September 12. The album moved 99,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. during the tracking week ending September 3, according to Billboard.
Streaming accounted for the overwhelming majority of that total. The project earned 90,000 streaming-equivalent album units from 95.07 million official on-demand streams, while traditional album sales contributed another 9,000 units.
The result also sent Don’t Look Down to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Streaming Albums chart and No. 13 on Top Album Sales. It becomes Rod Wave’s eighth consecutive top-10 project on the Billboard 200, extending a run that dates back to 2019’s Ghetto Gospel.
Released August 28 through Alamo Records, Don’t Look Down is Rod Wave’s seventh studio album. The digital edition contains 24 tracks, with Summer Joy and Luv Von serving as the project’s only featured guests.
The No. 1 debut gives Rod Wave his fourth Billboard 200 chart-topper, following SoulFly, Beautiful Mind and Nostalgia. His previous album, Last Lap, debuted at No. 2 in 2024.
Rod Wave will now take the album on the road with the Don’t Look Down Tour, beginning September 12 in Philadelphia with FRIDAYY as support. The North American arena run is scheduled to continue through November.
