Growing up in Santa Rosa, California, RICKY always envisioned himself becoming a rap star. His father was a music enthusiast and introduced RICKY to rock n roll legends Elvis Presley, and The Beatles. RICKY instantly fell in love and knew when he grew older, he wanted to be involved with music. He got his first job in the music industry as a promoter for Showout Entertainment. Due to his passion for music, he soaked up all the information he could and rose to the top as a head promotor. He threw some of the most memorable concerts in the North Bay area drawing massive crowds to his events. When he turned 18 RICKY decided to follow his heart’s true desire and create music of his own.
RICKY is a signed artist under his own record label Rose City Entertainment, LLC. The message he intends for his fans to take away from his music is “wanting people to leave with a feeling that they are understood. I want them to understand that someone else is going through the same things they are.” RICKY has endured and overcome countless trials and tribulations in his own life, and he hopes to be a spark of light for anybody going through a trying time.
On March 4th, RICKY will be releasing his debut single “OD”. This song is about being in the part scene of life, and not wanting to OD. Having grown up listening to Mac Miller, and seeing other artists like Lil Peep, and JuiceWrld tragically pass away from drugs has deeply impacted RICKY. He wants to bring awareness to the cause and honor them through this song. “OD” is rapped over a smooth melodic beat and drives home a strong message with emotionally impactful lyrics.
Be sure to check out “OD” on Spotify, and look out for new music announcements on RICKY’s Instagram.
