Scrooge Owens has been on the music scene for more than a minute and is highly respected for his realness and raw delivery. He’s stayed true to real hip hop and has provided anthems for the streets including a series of ‘King of NY’ mixtapes, while also developing his own standing in the hip hop scene.
Scrooge has gone on tour with R.A. The Rugged Man which then gave him the opportunity to start giving audiences more of his voice and his story. Scrooge Owens’ music is raw, intense and personal. However, he has songs that can rock a nightclub as well. Part of what makes him so intriguing is his ability to connect with the listener.
He combines raw intensity and originality with hard hitting beats. He is currently heating up the streets with his new single “Cooking.” It’s a midtempo record with a boom-bap sound accompanied by a hard baseline and topped off with strong, gritty east coast bars.
