Chicago artist Phil Shaw is set to drop his third project on the rapper’s 29th birthday next week. After the release of his 2020 debut “You Head Me” promptly followed by his 2021 release “New Beginnings” we get a full length project from the artist for the third year in a row. On March 18th we will hear the debut major-label album from the artist “Fake Nights”.
In 2016 the R&B artist put over $10,000 into bitcoin, bringing an unbelievable, lifelong profit to the artist. Though he stays humble, we know Shaw never had to work again to maintain a luxurious lifestyle. He began to pick up music in quarantine, and built a luxurious home studio furnished with a signed photo of Michael Jordan. Once the artist released his first project a firm Chicago fan base emerged, with a unique demographic of crypto investors and high end families. His previous projects contain heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies with an early 2000’s sound. Full of a summertime 2005 esque sound, if Shaw’s album is anything like his last, Fake Nights will be our summertime jam this year.
