PeacefulPinder has some refreshing new music in his latest release titled “Self-Care”. He states the main mission alongside providing an excellent and commercially viable music product is to start a movement to raise awareness to the strengths of the human race and through the platform of music communicate the core values of the Peace Gang movement which are Peace, Love and Unity. The intention is to administer healing and raise the vibrational patterns of consciousness through inspiring and conscientious music.
This single takes us into an introspective look into Peaceful’s personal life story and perspective on the experiences so far. He shared with us that for anybody it can feel guilty about self-care because it can go against what we’ve been taught, which is that to be a good friend, parent, spouse, coworker, and community member we have to put others first always. Self-care often actually means putting ourselves first, and we’re conditioned to believe that this isn’t right. It’s selfish, or self-serving, it isn’t consistent with how inspirational leaders throughout history are portrayed, such as Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr. We admire these individuals because they endured suffering and hardship, their self-sacrifice is perceived as noble.
Self-care in reality means caring for the entire community of which we are a part of, it encompasses and protects the greater good. Peaceful believes self care is not about being virtuous. In a way, it means living and working in ways that are consistent with and model how we want the overall picture of the world to work.
