In 2016, Joy made headlines with her debut EP, “Just Like That,” which stirred the city’s music scene with its expert blend of classic southern soul, modern gospel, and pop smarts.
Joy has also earned recognition for her unparalleled work ethic and dedication to impacting change in society. She was awarded the Celebration of Women’s Community Advocacy Award in 2017. Joy had to overcome many challenges, including struggling to sustain her career through hardships.
