Milz Gotti: The Rise of a Hometown Original

Milz Gotti: The Rise of a Hometown Original

From Coushatta, Louisiana — a quiet, countryside town far from the noise of major cities — emerges a voice that’s hard to ignore. Milz Gotti, born Milz Wilson, is 21 and already making waves with raw talent, a distinct voice, and a story that cuts deep.

Milz grew up in a house where music wasn’t just background noise — it was part of life. His father used to rap, and by the age of three, Milz was already playing around with sounds, beats, and lyrics. But it wasn’t until 2021 that he truly decided to bet on himself and take music seriously.

That turning point came after a loss that changed everything. In 2020, Milz’s close friend Kier Jackson — known to many as “7” — was killed in a shooting. To honor him, Milz took on the number “47” and later dropped an EP of the same name, featuring seven tracks. The project wasn’t just music — it was memory, legacy, and grief turned into art.

Milz’s music stands out because it’s not manufactured. It’s felt. Every beat carries weight. Every lyric has a story behind it — from childhood pain to dreams of a better future. He doesn’t just rap to rap. He raps to be heard.

He’s already starting to get that attention. His freestyle on “Famous Animal” turned heads. Streams are going up. And he recently returned to his roots to perform at his old high school’s prom — a full circle moment for someone who came up in that same small town.

But the road here hasn’t been easy.

At just twelve, Milz lost his aunt — his best friend and closest confidant — to a stroke. A year later, he lost his grandmother to cancer. That kind of pain doesn’t just go away. It stays with you. And for Milz, it became part of the fuel behind the music.

“I just want to perform everywhere and make enough to let my parents retire,” he says. That’s the goal: use music to change lives, starting with his own family.

He’s got momentum. His newest single, “Superstar,” just dropped, and it’s a clear signal that Milz isn’t playing around. He’s serious, focused, and ready for a bigger stage.

This isn’t just about blowing up. For Milz Gotti, it’s about turning pain into purpose — and making sure the people he’s lost live on through every verse.
