Michelle Williams is single again.
On Friday morning, the 38-year-old Destiny’s Child singer revealed that she and pastor Chad Johnson have called off their engagement.
“I still remain fearless,” she wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Story. “I guess I still remain single! Things didn’t work out. The healing that needs to take place is a must! I don’t wanna destroy another relationship. Blessings to him, his family and ministry.”
She added, “Sorry to disappoint everyone. We are no longer together!!”
Williams and Johnson announced their engagement in April after meeting in March 2017 at an Arizona spiritual retreat run by Johnson, who is a life coach.
“I was in a horrible, dark place,” Williams told PEOPLE at the time. “I just needed to go somewhere where I could get a message of hope and restoration, rejuvenation—get connected to God.”
Johnson proposed a year later, but Williams called off the engagement twice in the weeks after Johnson popped the question. Three months later, she entered a mental health facility for depression.
The couple starred in the reality series “Chad Loves Michelle,” which aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network in early November. The announcement arrives on the same day as Williams’ new single “Fearless.”
