The album centers on seven metaphorical “languages”—cultural codes, expressions, and ways of being that have been marginalized or erased over time. Through this framework, Lukah reclaims and reinterprets Southern storytelling in modern hip-hop.
The project features standout guest appearances from Killer Mike, Jay Worthy, 8Ball, Bun B, Termanology, and more—each bringing their own voice to a record that bridges regional traditions and generational influence.
Lukah’s previous albums, including When the Black Hand Touches You and Why Look Up, God’s in the Mirror, earned acclaim for their introspective, unflinching takes on trauma, self-actualization, and systemic struggle.
