Q1: Zay, for those who might not know yet—who is Zay Money and how did you first get into entertainment?
Zay Money: “Zay Money is a character all its own. I’m a 12-year-old entrepreneur, actor, and creator. Since I was 6, I loved music, and because of my 11 siblings, it really came natural.”
Q2: You’ve been making music with a lot of energy and purpose. How would you describe your sound and what makes it different?
Zay Money: “My sound is different because I’m different. I aim to be a positive role model for the youth—each one teach one and apply pressure. I want to bring my generation back to being a positive force.”
Q3: Your single Batman and Robin is getting a lot of love—what inspired the song, and how do you come up with your ideas when you’re writing or recording?
Zay Money: “My brother and I are always together, so it’s really about my bro—my best friend Tre Da Dancer. A double force to show positivity. And of course, my bigger bro DJ Breezy.”
Q4: What do you love more right now—being in the studio making music or being on set acting? Or is it all the same kind of fun for you?
Zay Money: “All of it’s kinda fun because I get to be me and show the world Zay Money.”
Q5: You’ve already done a lot at such a young age. What keeps you focused and motivated when things get tough or when you’re tired?
Zay Money: “My parents and 11 siblings—we fight, but for the most part we stick together. I feel good to have a two-parent household, and they get us right together.”
Q6: You’ve been a voice for positivity, especially for kids who might be going through hard times. What message do you try to put in your music or just how you carry yourself?
Zay Money: “I know I’m a role model, so I make mistakes, but I try to keep my best foot forward. And in music—’I’m just a kid, it is what it is.’ Just have fun.”
Q7: Outside of music and acting—what do you like to do for fun when you’re just being Zay and not working?
Zay Money: “I like playing Fortnite, dancing, and fighting with my siblings—lol.”
Q8: What’s one goal you have this year—whether it’s a new song, performing live, or something personal you want to accomplish?
Zay Money: “The goal I have is to be on the biggest stage out there so other youth can see and know they can be anything they want to be.”
Q9: You’ve got a unique style and energy. Where do you get your confidence from, and how do you stay true to yourself with everything going on?
Zay Money: “I get my confidence from my mom and dad—they push me. I’ve been doing it since I was 6. I never felt fear. I stay true to myself, but failure isn’t an option.”
Q10: When people talk about Zay Money years from now, what do you want them to remember the most about you and your journey?
Zay Money: “I want them to remember that I said I was gonna touch the hearts of many—and I WILL. WE OUTSIDEEEEEEEEEE!”
