IJU or “It’s Just UP” is a group of young Ohio artists making major moves in the music industry. It’s obvious that IJU makes a great team; and, every great team has a great leader. Andre Kay Bailey or IJU BOSSMAN is the captain of the “IJU” ship. Originally from the Southside of Youngstown, Ohio; Andre was born to Latisse Bailey and James Wright.
Young Andre was raised along with nine siblings, this made Andre’s life very eventful growing up. Early in life’s”young CEO” ran the streets of Youngstown; many times making mistakes. In total Andre has been to prison three times, both State and Federal. According to Andre, “my last prison bid was 8 1/2 years for drug trafficking”. Andre was released from prison in April of 2019.
After his release, Andre jumped full force into his business! He started off flipping houses, this led to Andre starting IJU clothing line and eventually the label “ITS JUST UP Ent”. Andre’s first artists on the label were his son and his son’s friends. According to Andre, “the other boys became my nephews”. IJU Ent. has went on to travel all over, and even making music with one of Boosie’s artist.
Andre and IJU recently traveled to Los Angeles with celebrity DJ YG to the BET awards weekend at the convention center. The next stop is Atlanta for the hip-hop awards on July 23. IJU is currently filming a reality show called “20 Days To Blow.” This show will give the fans insight in the lives of IJU. Andre (the CEO) claims that there is much to come for his label and his brand, he and his boys are dedicated to reach the top.
