Originally born in Salt Lake City, Utah, ReeseOMO grew up in Central Florida, where his love for music began to take root. His journey into music started in late 2020 and early 2021 with freestyling and writing. By 2022, he decided to take his passion seriously and step into the music industry with intent.
What pushed him into artistry is nothing short of spiritual. Back in 2019, a pastor called him to the front of a church and spoke words that deeply impacted him. Through the Holy Spirit, the pastor told ReeseOMO things he had never shared with anyone, about how he hears music and how one day he would not only create it with his voice and instruments but also produce and craft music for himself and for others. That moment gave him a sense of purpose.
ReeseOMO refuses to be boxed into one sound. He has experimented with rap, alternative, indie rock, ambient, electronic dance music, rhythm and blues, and more. His versatility allows him to tap into different emotions and connect with a wide variety of listeners. He has also been playing piano and keyboard his entire life, while drums remain another passion of his. Recently, he has been teaching himself guitar, adding yet another skill to his creative arsenal.
His influences are just as diverse as his music. Among living artists, Future, Ye, Young Thug, D Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, and Trippie Redd stand out. Among those who have passed, he draws deep inspiration from X, Juice WRLD, and Mac Miller.
The road has not been easy. There were moments when ReeseOMO thought about giving up because progress felt slow. But the support he received from listeners in other countries gave him the strength to keep going. Knowing that his music reached people across the globe reminded him that his art had no limits. From then on, he knew the only direction was forward.
So far, ReeseOMO has released three albums and one EP. Each project is a reflection of his lifestyle and state of mind during the time of its creation, each one carrying a different energy and vibe. One of his career highlights has been working with two of his favorite producers, OAT Nick Mira and bryceunknwn. He also had the chance to collaborate with saveaj, resulting in one of his best songs to date.
Looking ahead, ReeseOMO has plenty in store for his fans. An EP is scheduled to drop this fall, followed by a series of singles accompanied by music videos. An album is also in the works, and listeners can expect even more growth and creativity from him as he continues to expand his sound.
