From the streets of Poughkeepsie, New York to the fast-paced scene of Los Angeles, LAW D. Soul has built a name for himself as an artist who cannot be confined. On Instagram, fans know him as @Law.Almighty, but long before social media he was making noise through music. Singing, freestyling, and vibing with his brothers on the block shaped his earliest memories before he ever touched a recording booth.
Although his first official recordings date back to 2014, music has always been embedded in his life. Everything shifted after the heartbreaking loss of his brother Shamaal “Smallz” Irving in 2019. What had once been just a pastime quickly became a calling. “That was the moment I realized this wasn’t just for fun anymore, I had to take it seriously,” LAW D. Soul shares. “But truthfully, it was only a few months ago that I started treating it like a real business.”
Versatility is one of his greatest strengths. Refusing to stay in a single lane, LAW D. Soul’s sound stretches across rock, country, hip hop, R&B, and even classical music. With 13 albums and 7 EPs already released, he continues to push his artistry further, now diving into EDM by producing his own beats and prepping his debut EDM project. “I just create what feels right in the moment,” he explains. “I never want to lock myself into one style.”
More than just a vocalist, he is a true musician. LAW D. Soul plays trombone, guitar, drums, and piano, and has his sights set on learning the violin next. His influences are just as wide-ranging, pulling inspiration from icons like Michael Jackson, Tupac, and Eminem, to lyrical giants such as J. Cole, Kendrick, and Kanye, to rock legends like Metallica and System of a Down.
Even with his talent and drive, he admits the road has not been smooth. “If I had to sum up my journey in one word, it’s procrastination,” he admits. “I always knew I was elite, but I wasn’t walking in my light. This last year flipped everything. Now I’m locked in, pushing myself daily to reach my highest potential.”
His latest drop, Westside Shit (July 28), showcases this growth, blending New York lyricism with west coast energy. Inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, the project carries raw passion and urgency. “That tape lit a fire in me, and it hasn’t gone out since,” he says. The release comes packed with standout moments, from bold tracks like Velma and Daphne Freestyle to New Banger and Defcon 50, even featuring fearless callouts to some of the industry’s biggest names.
But LAW D. Soul is not stopping at music. While preparing visuals for Westside Shit and finalizing his EDM tape, he has also stepped into business, recently purchasing his first event space in downtown Los Angeles. “LAW D. Soul-sponsored events are coming soon,” he says with a confident smile.

For LAW D. Soul, the mission moving forward is growth, consistency, and leaving a lasting imprint. With new visuals, his first EDM release on the way, and live events about to roll out in Los Angeles, his journey is expanding in powerful directions. His vision is not only to make music but to inspire, create, and cement a legacy that will last. The spark has been lit, and he is determined to keep the flame alive until his place in history is secured.
