Returning with his first release of the year, Komanii looks to make waves as he distills that fresh, summery feeling into his latest creative venture. Featuring his previously released single ‘254’ and ‘Back To You’, ‘Last Days of Summer’ is a project that’s destined to make you groove.
Featuring four tracks, the EP is effortlessly enthused with finesse and style as Komanii brings his vast creative palette back into the limelight. As singles ‘254’ and ‘Back To You’ keep the release feeling familiar and vibrant, a new recording in the form of ‘La Vida Loca’ sees the release lean into those lo-fi, afrobeats vibes that ooze that laid-back feeling. Rounding off the project, ‘Last Days of Summer’ is closed with an alternate take of ‘254’, highlighting Komanii’s ability to musically pivot his artistry to play into different genres and emotions.
Commenting on the project, he explains, “This is a small EP to round off the summer, created with the intention of making you move your body. It’s more about vibes and energy, letting the music make you dance, jump and move your body. May this be the soundtrack to the last days of summer”
Komanii is a rapper and producer who hails from London, UK. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, he blends uncompromising storytelling with an authentic spirit through his artistry. Having lived around the world, Komanii started writing after a move to the USA before the release of his debut EP ‘Niko Tayari’ in 2018.
Since then, he has moved from strength to strength, collaborating with like-minded artists, including Ayon Mukherji, Elrim, and others, and expanding his artistic career with his work as a fashion designer. Keeping his momentum high, Komanii released three singles in 2024, cementing himself as a young talent to be marvelled at. Back in time for summer ‘25, the London-based artist looks to continue where he left off, pushing his distinctive sound with an emphatic glow.
